Harbro Lighting and Electrical started life in 1994 when Philip and Jackie Harbord began trading from a small specialist lighting shop in Horden. Now operating out of premises in Peterlee it is now officially one of North East England’s fastest growing companies and had to double the size of its premises in 2008 to cope with demand.

Harbro Lighting and Electrical carries all the major brands in quality lighting and electrical products, but our managing director Philip believes, that it is the personal touch that has been, in no small way, a major contribution for our success and continues to be so. Although the company has over 300 account customers the directors of the company make it a top priority to get to know each and every one of them as friends. “We very rarely lose an account that way, knowing your customer as well as your products is essential.”

An investment of over £140,000 plus an increase in its workforce reflects a big success story for the company and one which they fully expect to continue, despite high energy costs and the credit crunch beginning to bite ever deeper.

With our electricity consumption measuring systems and our huge range of energy saving products we are helping to significantly reduce electricity bills for both the domestic and businesses consumers.

Our Unique showroom

As we trade both with the public and trade we felt that we needed a unique to be able to communicate and display what products we offer, as a result we have a showroom that is unique in its own right. We display some of our products on how they could look like within a bedroom, bathroom or even a Living room / Lounge. We also sell those accessories to you if you want to have them. Though that option is only available if you come into our showroom.
